At Move It Men we pride ourselves on being able to offer a uniquely tailored service to each of our customers, and it isn’t very often we refuse a request. Whether its moving huge inflatables for charitable events, or assisting people during some of the biggest changes in their lives, we will do our very best to deliver. Below are some examples of recent undertakings:
Down Sizing Social Housing
There is a strong government initiative to down size council and other social housing. Bolton Council formed a Down Sizing team in 2014, to help people who wish to move to smaller, more appropriate housing. In many cases, the council will cover the cost if they are moving, as the council needs the larger properties for larger families. Move it Men have been called in to undertaker several of these moves.
MOD Re-locations
We have a very good relationship with the MOD regarding staff relocations. The activity started with moving one group of soldiers to Catterick Barracks. Much of this work is done at short notice, which we are geared to cope with. By agreement with the MOD we reserve loading capacity so that we can always respond to the call, when it comes. Many moves are within the North West, but they can be from, or to, anywhere in the UK.
EBay Movement & Storage
With the explosion in EBay transactions, we are finding this to offer good business growth.
We have a client who is a well established and large scale EBay trader. He will, for example, buy a hotel’s stock of furniture, from anywhere in the UK. We are then called in to uplift it and deliver it to our storage unit. Here, we have a team of repair craftsmen who will clean and re-condition it, ready for resale.
Office Moves & University Contracts
In the last year we have undertaken a growing number of office moves. Businesses expanding or rationalising call on us to move office equipment and also production machinery to new locations, usually within the North West.
We are also nominated for removal requirements for local universities. We recently relocated a workshop full of sewing machines, from one part of campus to another.
